Immunization and TB screening requirements are due on the 1st day of instructions for the term you are entering UC Irvine. An academic hold may be placed on your account, preventing you from registering for your following term, if you are not compliant with these University requirements.

Immunization Requirements for Students
| UC Immunization Requirement | Proof of Immunization Required |
| Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) | Two doses; first dose on or after age 1 – OR – Titer (blood test) showing immunity. |
| Varicella (Chickenpox) | Two doses; first dose on or after age 1 – OR – Titer (blood test) showing immunity. Note: History of varicella illness will not meet this requirement. You will be required to perform titers showing immunity. |
| Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap) | One (1) dose on or after age 11, then a Tdap vaccine every 10 years thereafter. Dtap, Dt, DTP, or Td is not acceptable. |
| Meningococcal Conjugate Serogroups A, C, Y, & W-135 | One dose on or after age 16 for all students under 22 years of age. Note: Men B (Bexsero or Trumenba) will not meet this requirement. |
| NEW COVID-19 (Moderna, Pfizer, or Novavax) | One dose of the new FDA approved 2024 COVID vaccine OR submission of a declination. |
| Influenza (Seasonal Flu) | One dose received on or after August 1st of current year OR submission of a declination. |
Immunization Requirements for Medical & Pharmacist Students

| Tuberculosis | TB skin test (2 tests at least 1 week apart) or a negative TB IGRA test (T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold) completed on or after July 1st of your incoming year. |
